Description
Tough on Grime, Easy on Your Wood
Your logs deserve attention for their natural character—not the pollen, algae, and bird donations decorating them. Sashco TimberBright is a concentrated log and wood cleaner that removes stubborn surface contamination without harsh acids or bleach. Designed for interior and exterior use, it cleans any wood species, finished or unfinished, while helping you keep routine maintenance focused on cleaning rather than changing the wood’s appearance. Always test an inconspicuous area first.
The hardworking part is Sashco’s proprietary bio-enzyme action. Enzymes encapsulate, slightly dissolve, and lift surface contaminants, including dirt, pollen, mold, mildew, algae, and bird mess. Instead of etching the surface underneath, TimberBright targets what is sitting on top. Think of it as an eviction notice for grime: the wood gets to stay; the unwanted guests get shown the door.
TimberBright also keeps your cleaning lineup refreshingly uncomplicated. Along with logs and other wood surfaces, it works on common building materials such as metal, stone, concrete, brick, vinyl siding, and glass. That means fewer specialty bottles auditioning for a permanent role in your garage. It will not discolor high-tannin species such as Cedar and Redwood, and its bleach-free formula cleans without bleaching the wood.
Choose your cleaning strength to suit the mess, from a 1:10 cleaner-to-water ratio for lighter cleaning to 1:2 for more aggressive work. Apply mixed cleaner at approximately 300–400 square feet per gallon. Allow a dwell time of 5–20 minutes, and avoid direct sunlight or hot surfaces that can make the cleaner flash-dry before it finishes working. Stubborn patches may need a softwash brush or carwash cleaning glove—because occasionally, dirt requires a personal conversation.
For exterior cleaning, rinse thoroughly to remove cleaner and loosened contamination. At lower concentrations indoors, Sashco says you can wipe away the dirt without rinsing. When properly mixed, TimberBright is gentle on plants, grass, and flowers; wet surrounding plants before starting. Plant-friendly is a benefit, not permission to skip the directions.
Available in 1-gallon and 5-gallon concentrate sizes, TimberBright suits homeowner maintenance and larger contractor cleanups alike. It is a surface cleaner, not a wood bleach. If your project calls for bleaching or brightening wood, consider Sashco CPR Log Cleaner and Brightener instead, checking its species restrictions first. Choose TimberBright when the goal is removing the mess—not giving your wood an unrequested makeover.
Why It Rules the Jobsite
-
Bio-enzyme action lifts surface contamination without etching the material underneath. Grime gets the rough treatment—not your logs.
-
Cleans finished and unfinished wood, including high-tannin Cedar and Redwood, without discoloring those species. Test first.
-
Works across wood, metal, stone, concrete, brick, vinyl, and glass, reducing the cleaning-bottle collection.
-
Adjustable dilution handles lighter maintenance or more aggressive cleaning needs.
-
Lower-concentration interior cleaning can skip the rinse step; properly mixed solution is plant-friendly when plants are wetted first.
